For anyone who does any amount of printing each week this may be worth having a look at. I saw the advert on TV last night when I was half awake and thought I had misheard it, take a look at the link below, plans start at £1.99 per month, the only catch I can see is you can only use certain printers:

I've seen this also Kathy. As long as you use more in Ink than the monthly charge, then your quids in. I wonder if they upgrade the printers along the way ?

we just bought a cheap scanner and printer for £40 a canon

They are cheap but the cost of replacing the ink is normally more than the printer itself
