Milo's romp with the pack Empty Milo's romp with the pack

I took Milo on the park today in the hope that I could find a dog or two for Milo to play with as I never see many - well I found a pack of 9 !!!! The lady is a dog boarder and she never has any on the leads. They all stay with her - remarkable.

Well all went well, they all had a lovely walk right around the park for about an hour, then Milo took his turn having a treat (spot him in the pack)

but unfortunately ended up with a bit of a ding dong with the black lab after they both jumped in the stream. A bit of fur flying and snarling etc but no damage done thank god. Then on the way out with Milo on his long lead he had a bit of a go at the Springer Spaniel when it ran back to us with a stick  Rolling Eyes

Did I let him play for too long do you think? My husband said I did. I think he got over excited to be honest - he's fast asleep now - erm - snoring Laughing

Sounds like he had great fun but I do find when Katy has been out with her friends playing she can get overexcited & start getting rough with the others Smile

Thx peeps - that's what my OH said. I'm so 'over keen' to get her used to loads of dogs I forget that she can get stressed a bit and if one of the dogs picks on her she won't back down.

I'll still do it but pop her on her lead when she starts to be a bit of a pain.

Sounds like a plan Jenny. Let the socialisation carry on but if you see Milo getting over excited just pop him on the lead until he calms down. Sounds like things are going great though Big Grin

Milo's romp with the pack Empty Re: Milo's romp with the pack

I hope he doesn't do it again - he sort of fixated on the elderly black lab from all the other dogs and was running alongside it play-biting. Now and again the black lab would snarl at him but it didn't stop Milo. They still seemed happy running around with tongues lolling and ears pricked. It was after they got out of the stream where we couldn't see what they were up to that the lab seemed to have had enough and down they both went rolling and snarling & snapping. I was sure there was going to be blood but phew...its a bit of a worry.

'Anything' looks a beautiful girl by the way Smile
