Run free beautiful girl

Today we lost our beautiful Stella. Unfortunately she started coughing and regurgitating her food and water on Tuesday which the initial diagnosis given was kennel cough there was no improvement despite the antibiotics and anti sickness meds given, she was admitted Friday for fluids and a chest X-ray which showed she had megaesophagus and pneumonia from inhaling the food and water and when we brought her home she seemed very bright and alert. We started her new feeding regime of being vertical during feeding and although the food seemed to stay down she spent the night regurgitating it. This morning all the fight had left my baby and the pneumonia was getting worse she looked at me and I knew what had to be done. She had only been in our lives for 2.5 years, we rescued her when she was 'past middle age' and although it was such a short time the love and joy she brought us was amazing.

So very sorry to hear you very sad news Emma. It sound like you gave Stella 2 1/2 wonderful years.
