Don't be so paranoid, nothing new on the access rights! sort your Facebook settings out refuse them to share your details with third parties/match your adds etc you don't have to have your number etc on for syncing

For security reasons they have to have to declare that they can access messages etc same with email etc if you were for example planning a major crime/terrorism etc, same as if you say had a poker site account and were doing something fraudulent they have a disclaimer that they can access your account details and pass them to authorities if requested (and that all has to be authorised prior to request with data protection)

If people read the terms and conditions when they sign up to websites/itunes etc its all there nothing hidden by these companies
