cant be bothered!

dont know if its my age or what but i find myself more and more not bothered about going out socialising. im going to an engagement party tonight and i would much rather stay in with my little man and have a glass of wine (ok maybe more than a glass) on the sofa. im forcing myself to go but already thinking up excuses for leaving early - am i becoming a miserable old beggar (at 36) or is it just normal to prefer the company of my dog to that of people.saying that he has just started being a little beggar, where's the party!

I've always preferred the company of dogs to most humans!

i'm the same, but once i get out theres no stopping me, it's just the getting out

i am sure you will have a fab time time, and when you get back you can give him a big cuddle

Well I'm 27 and much prefer staying in! Bought my flat 2 years ago and ever since then I'm a proper hermit!! Went out last night and it took 30mins to get served wtf!!!! Don't get me wrong I love my locals, but thats like a sitting room anyway! So at 36 you feel like your getting old, I'm 27 so I must be

I think it's our age. Im .....erm forgot now but im thirty something now and when a do is coming up and start thinking of excuses not to go cos I'd much rather stay in with the family.

Same here. I'm only 26 but half the time I just can't be bothered. I find when I do get out that I want to come home early and in the morning I just think 'What a waste of money!' I much prefer to have friends over or go to a house party than going out properly.

its not just love of the breed we have in common its a way of life! bet we would all be there like a shot though if it was us all getting together with our beloved staffs!

I've said it a million times, I would absolutely love it if we could arrange a get-together. With all the dogs too of course. I don't think there's anywhere big enough to fit us all and our dogs though!!

Im a as my friends call me "boring old mare" too im err....31 and much rather be home, I split with my partner nearly a year ago and mates always say "come on come out u need to meet someone, ur get lonely bla bla bla" but no my daughters goto bed and im happy sitting with a glass........ok bottle watching tv with Maz & Zero.

We're literally spread from the very south to the very north and from the very east to the very west of the country. And of course, we have international members too, a shame really cos a forum get-together would be such a laugh. But yes, Norfolk to Plymouth = a VERY long trip!

In reply to this topic though....I'm heading for the BIG "40" and i'm a real home-body. I would MUCH rather chill out at home with my family ( hubby,daughters,Roxy and my cat Tom) than go out making pleasantries (sp ?) when I really don't feel like it. I'm not one for getting dolled right up...I much prefer a casual relaxed approach.

it was ok actually yeh.some of them have only stopped this morning at about 8am so they must be feeling wprse than me - or still drunk!
