Oh Inez you've got me all excited now  Laughing 

This is the inside of a chapel near me.. I think it goes back to Henry the Eights time. It's called the Lumley Chapel and has some really neat stuff in it

This is all that's left of the original Norman? Church. There's is a newer one next door now but that's pretty old too.

What a beautiful chapel Ian I love wandering round them! Remember as a young un going to a monestry I got told off by a monk for peeping behind the curtain!  Laughing I have a pic somewhere of mme and cousin sat on steps will have to go have a look  Big Grin

If ever I'm showing people sights in the City of London I always make sure I show the the Temple Church London. It was built by the knights Templar way way back and has a monument to them outside. I can't find any good pics on line but worth a look if you're ever in London sight seeing. Oh.. It also featured in the Da Vinchi movie.
