onions

why do they make your eyes hurt, i can remember doing this at school but i've forgot!

Dunno! I think it's something to do with the juice getting in the air, but I'm sure someone will tell me I'm talking a load of.........

yea i know it's something to do with the juice, i cut a old red onions tonight it burn my poor eyes lol

I normally get it about half an hour or so after peeling onions.

i made a silly mistake by rubbing my eye when i was cutting them. lol

Onions get me everytime......not when I'm cutting them, when someone else is lol
I'm really bad with onions. I normally sit in the kitchen with a spoon in my gob while the wife is at the opporsite side of the kitchen cutting them.
I think it's now become my most fearful way to die

i know lol

sucking a teaspoon when u cut them is supposed to help, oh and dont cut the bottom bit off till the end (the bit with the roots on) x

When my hubby asks if he can help in the kitchen, I say "you can cut up the onions if you want", his answer "not sure how you want them" and disappears without a trace
