woman at the bus stop.
I was waiting for the bus and chatting to a woman, she said she wanted to rescue, I was like that's brilliant please do, and then she went on to say she went to the blue cross but they were all staffies so she decided against it!!! How I bit my tongue I'll never know, but I said well then I'm afraid you will be missing out, because you'll never know a love like staffie love.

Great reply but to be fair, if it was a kennel full of Labradors that were overbred and needing homes I still wouldn't rehome one because I don't like them. Everyone likes different breeds if it's only due to media hype though then that's just silly!

Re: woman at the bus stop.
In all honesty I may have said similar myself once, but the more I saw of them the more I fell in love with them and here we are! In our case we knew nothing about them and didn't know anyone with one, then during research we found this site.
You gave a great response that may make her go away and think about considering a staffie.

Re: woman at the bus stop.
Definitely there are some dogs I just can't stand, but any animal suffering pulls at my heart strings.I grew up with labs and I had one that was my best friend for the first 15 years of my life, I just had it when people are just blatantly just newspaper readers.thank you

Great response!!
Sadly the media represents these beautiful dogs in a poor light and of course you get those people who believe everything they hear

I would have said exactly what she said to you if I hadn't first started fostering and then inadvertently been landed with a completely untrained hoodlum Staffy who, in my opinion, is also one of the most amazing, life-changing creatures on this planet.
