Ohhhhhh boy

Axl had a visit to the vets this morning after a few days of on and off limping, he's got a slight tear to a ligament and has to have 10 days rest, he's going to be going out of his mind after 10 days....

Oh no deb poor axl and of course poor you lol! Xx

Thanks guys I have no idea what we are going to do with him. I guess I could freeze his Kong and let him have a chew on that, he's not allowed to run around or jump so that doesn't leave many options! Shoot me now lol

Thanks all It's only been one day and he's already driving himself and me bonkers lol... 9 more days to go! I think we may end up insane though!

I can empathise!
it's the worst thing ever trying to keep them quiet. After 8 weeks of it I thought I'd go insane.
Nearly did, but didn't.
You will get through it, luckily the hot weather helps   

Thanks Annie, its good to hear other people have managed it. I feel so bad for him as well because he just wants to run around, he tries to do it indoors as well which is a nightmare, I have to literally catch him and sit him down lol. I've had all sorts of toys thrown at my feet and head last night as well, he just wants to play and I feel like a bad mummy not letting him run about. I'm going to try to do some mind games with him tonight and maybe a little bit of training, see if I can get him worn out mentally.

You're right about the weather, it does help so much, he's too hot so sleeps more than he normally would

I can feel your pain, we had the same thing with Flo when she had her knee done. Hope Axl is behaving and will be back to normal quick.

Just an update, we're on day 7(ish) and Axl isn't great, his limp has gone but he's so fed up bless him He whines a lot, I think out of frustration and he keeps giving me the big brown eyes. I keep telling him only a little bit longer and he can run after sticks again I feel so sad for him but I try to keep him entertained, we play find it a lot and my oh plays with him on the floor which he loves. He's been really down though although this morning I was woken up by him sitting next to the bed wagging his tail at me lol. I even got a kiss which was nice Can't keep a good dog down eh!

Anyway we're taking him for a little weekend away this weekend as its the end of his 10 days resting and we're going to stay with some friends who have a garden as well so he'll be sooooooo happy.
