I have a staff/poodle mix(according to dna tes)He is quite sweet but insane with my husband(he does love him)he waits for Phil to arrive then bounds after him pulling at his tie jacket butt.It usually takes 10 minutes to resotre order any suggestions?

Sounds like an ideal training opportunity. Have treats handy and make him sit (Henry, not your OH) and then reward with a treat when all calm. Might take a little time but with consistency he should get the idea.

To answer the exercise question he is walked every am and my husband takes him to a dog park sat and sunday.They spend hours at the park and Henry loves other dogs and gallops all over the park, My husband feeds him from the table, the ritual starts with breakfast(after Henry's)when the microwave beeps Henry barks then he shares a muffin with Phil. Lunch is not so animated but dinnertime is the bomb ,he waits at the door looking for the storm door to open,game on> So I am sure you will say Phil needs to be trained,I know that I am hoping he will realize this too.
