County Show
So school was shut for teacher change over day, mine go into their new years and classes Monday. So we went to our local County Show. It was a cold and drizzly day but could have been worse. We saw all the animals, cows, sheep, chickens, horses and dogs. Saw Titan the robot. Went on the big carrousel, my 10yr old andmy brave 3 yr old went up the climbing wall! 10 yr old son drove a real car around a track with an instructor, he was well chuffed.
I had a lot of dog envy, there were so many people with their dogs and all so well behaved, wish we could have taken Alfie but he would have freaked.

Sounds like a good day, shame you couldn't have taken Alfie along with you but we wouldn't be able to take Rocky to anything like that either (you are not alone)

Re: County Show
Thanks Kathy. Its such a shame he misses out on some great days out. Bumped into several friends and their dogs which was great, but Alfie had to stay home, with my sister going in to let him out and play ball with him. Not the same.

Re: County Show
Yes all the animals were cleaned and buffed to within an inch lol but yes they all looked healthy. I didn't take any pics of the sheep but they were so fluffed up and groomed, the cows were highly shiny. Some of the sheep and goats has cotton coats on so they didn't get dirty before their time in front of the judgesKathy wrote:They all look like very healthy birds

It was thanks Lisa. All the better that the other schools were open as usual so not flooded with them!

What a great day you all had by the sounds of it. Even better that all the other schools were open too, so much nicer when you can wander around with just your own.
