Chaos is 20kg and 17-18" at 6 months?!
So I rehomed this staffy pup and just measured him since I was planning to buy a harness and hes about 20kg and 17-18 at withers!
Is he a pitbull? He's got the body of a staffy! But his face does look a a bit pitbullish! I'm concerned about getting him seized once he's fully grown and potentially reaches 25kg and 20something inches!
This is abnormal right? Is he just overgrown?
BTW he's not leggy or overfed. I also don't give him anything that would cause him to grow or overexcericse him. He's just a big dog!

My Flo is 18kg and she's quiet small. Yours is almost certainly not a Pit. Take a look at this excellent link :- https://staffy-bull-terrier.niceboard.com/t55231-is-my-dog-a-pit-bull-terrier

The only time yours would get seized is if there was a reason. Don't worry about chaos being a Pit. The rescue centre would not rehome a pit. From his picture above, he looks all Staff to me.

Ah you see I didn't get him from a shelter, I got him directly from a family who was forced to give him away.
They're really nice people and chaos' parents are really well behaved so I doubt that that he's a pit buuuut, its better to ask just in case
Also he isn't human or dog aggressive, like at all. Although when he hears a bark he barks back. Even when the dog isn't in sight.

I think you've got yourself one well behaved affectionate Staffy there. Pits are bigger and way more toned. You would see the difference if you put chaos next to one.

With every roll of the genetic dice you can get a different outcome from none KC registered staffies. There can be a fair variety in sizes between none registered staffies. The forum post cited earlier is worth a read.
Male dogs tend to be a bit bigger and chunkier than females.
In honesty its those dogs who are not under control and whose behaviours worry the public the police are most interessted in.
Pink is an staffy/english bull terrier cross. I know people who are less knowledgeable about dog let alone bull breeds will simply see a very muscular dog with a big set of teeth. I also have folk from many statutory services visit my home due to my disabled eldest son so I have to keep records of 'risks' within my home. I have kept all her papers and treatement records from the reputable rescue she came from [she was assessed for 'type' when she was found as she had clearly been subjected to brutalising treatement]. Vet records and details of innoculations and anti-parasite treatements. She has the full bells and whistles insurance package for third party liability, she always wears a collar and dog tags including the one from the rescue, is always walked in public on a lead and is starting the KC good citizenship scheme [pre-bronze to start with] She is my dog and she needs me to protect her interests so she is seen by the mojority of people as a lovely rescued dog.

Re: Chaos is 20kg and 17-18" at 6 months?!
Chaos is gorgeous and wow his mom is the spit of Ledger!
Ledger is 20kg and the same height as Chaos believe me when I rescued I had an input in pitbulls at work in my head I was finding similarities but when I got home there he is clearly no pitbull
Most of the staffys in the parks vary from about 15-25kg the cross I found stray last week was at least 30kg but then got talking to one chap with a 'tiny' staff we are talking maybe 10kg and just a tad bigger than a French bulldog he reckoned he paid £600 and had all her papers

Since the Pitbull has been a banned breed in the UK for some amount of time now it is very unlikely anyone here in the UK owns one. What you have is a Staffy or Staffy cross. After seeing the image of the parents you are more likely to have a Staffy than anything else.
