Hello
Right well last wed we got our girl speyed :'( wasnt my choice entirely but she had 2 seasons n was a nightmare after them n was mega depressed but she seems to have too many itchies n allergies to breed anyway.

So shes a hyper looney as she cant get on walks for now but even more annoyingly she wont touch her raw food!!!!!! Wtf lol this is the fussiest dog iv ever known. Iv defrosted her duck wing which were her fave n she wont even look at them and also her nuggets etc.
So i have been giving her natures menu tins with some mixer whicb she scoffs but last night she had the beef one and this mornin was very runny :-( i think its beef tht does it to her.

So annoyed cos the raw was goin so well and the toilet was great and now back to not eating it.

Also as she cant get out shes resorted to biting at me and attacking my feet and barking all the time!!!!! Feel like it will never stop so back to having pet corrector at my side.

Any ideas on whats going on with this eating. She is such a bad eater

No expert, ( someone more knowledgeable will be along shortly ) but it's possibly a combination of boredom and something in the tinned food making her hyper. No idea why she would go off the raw all of a sudden. Maybe just not feeling quite herself after the general anaesthetic and op? Have you been spoiling her with extra treats out of sympathy which could be taking the edge off her appetite?

It's very short time after the op but why don't you give her chicken breast or fish instead of going off raw altogether?
If its a problem maybe try nature diet it's good and won't make her hyper.

When Meg was spayed, she didn't eat for 3 days and generally moped about.  I was more concerned about her fluid intake and tried to encourage her to at least drink her water.  After the 3rd day, she started to eat small amounts and then built up to her normal portions over the next couple of days. BTW, some tinned foods have additives in them. Meg had this when we first got her and she was hyper, we went the Wainwrights kibble and wet food (trays-she won't eat raw) without all the bad additives and she was a much calmer little dog than before. Don't get me wrong, she is still mental, but no longer bouncing off the walls!

Thanks all.
No treats at all, the day after the op she had scrambled egg but other than that just put her raw down and she walked away but she defo was hungry! I want her back on it so im gonna try again tonight, shes so wasteful!
I thought natures menu tins would be ok as its their raw shes on but shes been a looney!

Her fave is the country hunter nuggets range but she sniffed it n walked out the kitchen lol!
I was so unsure of raw at first but wow what a difference on it! Hopefully maybe once more time passes and she recovers more shel eat it.

Hate having to bin it cos the food bin stinks in the garden.

Toots ate her raw with no problem until about 5 months. Suddenly stopped eating it. (prior to her accident)
Went very fussy about everything, but just lately will eat raw if it's frozen. Loves frozen chicken wings and nature's menu nuggets. She won't touch it if it's defrosted.  Smile

Awww il give that a go then. More of a crunch to it frozen, maybe that makes it more appealing it gets a bit squidgy defrosted.

Hey quick question.
Is beef important in a dogs diet. It really doesnt agree with the princess lol.
Raw,tinned and dry food that are beef always end badly for her.

If beef doesn't agree with her leave it out of her diet, lots of dogs are intolerant to certain meats x
