Where did you find help and support pre 2008......

There was nothing like this in 2001 when Stella was a puppy. Looking back, I maybe did'nt do the right things all the time, but luckily Stella grew up to be gentle, intelligent, and very affectionate.
There was puppy training classes of course and books, but as a technophobic in those days I mostly used my own judgement. Stella was 7 in 2008, however, it was 2013 when I found this forum. Never mind, better late than never  

Mostly books and behaviourists but I worked in a rescue centre so always lots of doggy people about to swap tips with

I only got Daisy a couple of years ago so lucky for me it was already here   

when i first used the net i think i used yaho groups never really got help from there i look around couldn't much else so i decide to make it to help staffy and owners

I had experience from my gorgeous first Staff who was simply a joy to be with. Flo has been with me 2 years now so I applied my previous experience but having found this Forum, I've learnt so much more.

Should pass my thanks on to Steve & the team for creating such a wealth of info in one place   

I helped out in GSD rescue before I got Scrumps - then I got her and learnt from scratch, just did what I thought was right - when I got Moo I joined here from pretty much day one, always open to different ideas on things Xx

We didn't get Rocky until 2010 so no need for any support or advice prior to then. I had a dog called Judy when I was kid which was a very long time ago and of course no internet then anyway.

With Snoop i used lots of positive enforcement because i knew he`d had a shitty start. I could not of asked for a better more loving dog. when snoop passed away and we decided to get another dog i decided to look into things more. At the time i was not sure which breed i was going for but kept going back to staffs and my dad said get what you really want.
I was going to get a rescue dog but could find no pups. I was worried about taking an older dog on because we have a cat and he is a little bugger. we have never had a pup before so i started looking a few things up. I`m so glad i did because i did not know about the puppy nipping stage before        I finally found the site and i`m so glad i did it has been so helpful
