graze/abrasion
hi,
I just noticed today under his left front armpit that he has a sore and was wondering will this clear up will this need to be seen by a vet. Its only under one leg. Would I be able to bandage and treat this myself or is it definitely a vet case. The skin is sticky and the hairs are stuck where the sore is.

I can't see pics on this computer I'm afraid but with cuts I generally clean with salt water and pop some sudocrem or antiseptic cream on myself and then just monitor. If it starts to smell funny or look worse then off to the vets in case its infected and antobiotics are needed xx

Has been itching a lot? When Vinny's allergies play up he scratches his arm pit until it's raw. We put sudocreme on to soothe it.

It does look very uncomfortable, if it feels warm to the touch then it is likely to be infected, I would see the vet in this case. Keep it as clean and dry as you can, if it looks no better in a couple of days pop along to see the vet nurse.

Re: graze/abrasion
thanks all, im going to use sterilised salt water then dry then leave to see if it heals, no long walks so it wont rub and no walks in rain. thanks for the advice.

Bane had a really bad pit like this too! One of the hardest places to keep dry and clean! Same advice as above, if he itches it when no one is around it may be worth putting a tshirt or something on him so it has a chance to heal
