My Flo..
Is right out of sorts tonight
Wasn't too happy on her walk yesterday but I put that down to the weather !
Tonight she is scooting and nibbling and really uncomfortable. Tried the spray and got a good shot on target before she moaned at me
Really feel sorry for her... Just wish I could find an answer to her allergies.

Re: My Flo..
Nah it's not worms... She has habits and just makes herself sore.. Kinda gets into that catch 22 thing.. Itchy-sore-nibble-more sore !
Today she really isn't happy washed all the bits etc but still not happy. The spray normally gives instant relief but not tonight. Yet she is so wanting to snuggle.. Just wish I could make her comfy... Love my girlie

Re: My Flo..
Do you know what she is allergic to? Suki had bad allergies before and we ended up taking her to a dermatologist. Found out what she was allergic to and altered her diet and she has been fine since.

Re: My Flo..
Unfortunately she is allergic to Grass Pollen and dust mites. We have changed her food and so far she has been reasonably good with the back paws but last night she had really had a go at the inside base of her tail
This has a knock on effect on her girlie bits as she scoots to sort the tail out and makes other bits sore too.
I have a feeling that last nights episode is down to Pollen so can't really do much other than treat the sore bits to make sure they don't get worse.

Re: My Flo..
My friends Stafford is the same allergic to the same and does the same thing, she's forever cleaning her paws and she now has no hair on her bum where she has been dragging herself along the carpet it's sad to see them like that

She has piriton right through the Spring and Summer. Looks to be more comfortable today, I'm hoping that the spray helped her last night it's just a shame that she can't tell me to spray when the itching first starts so that we can stop her getting sore

Re: My Flo..
Thanks for all your kind words.
Took her for a walk this evening and her head was down, didn't want to run for her stick and then I noticed she was limping. I spoke too soon when I said her paws seemed ok
Tonight she has had a medicated shower with her important little sore bits being given extra care. She is fast asleep and looks to be quiet content. Guess we will just have make sure she is super clean right through summer now

Re: My Flo..
Gosh Ian aren't they a worry, I now dip vins paws in diluted vinegar when we come back from walks, it seems to be helping as its like an antiseptic but stops him licking them as they don't like the taste xx

Horrible for her Ian. Don't suppose Vaseline on her feet might help before you go out?

Hadn't thought of A Vinegar wash, certainly worth a go Inez.

Vaseline between the toes might work and then a rinse with diluted Vinegar .
Just wish I could find something to stop this altogether, base of her tail is very sore and her left rear paw is swollen but she isn't biting half as much so I think the medicated wash must be helping.
