Final sprint
Bit of a milestone today when we hit our top spead on the bike. It was the end of the run and final straight and at the end of it they hit 22.7mph which is amazing as its only the 5th run they've done. As a spin off i swear they are both more obediant now since starting the riding.

Re: Final sprint
Well that's no bad thing. We all aim to be fitter. The fitter they are the healthier they are. Keep it up!!

Thats the thing mate, they are getting fitter on a much faster scale than i can keep up since weve started ive lost 5 lbs and have had to start squating weights to build my legs up. im thinking of going competitive when the season starts later in the year. the camera is an action cam with a very wide angle of view which hides the gradients very well. after that run i nearly fell off the bike and could hardley walk lol but still had to walk them over three miles to warm them down... two hours later we were out again for another hour walk... my feet and legs are killing but they are finally asleep...
what i love though is the people we meet and they ask what dogs they are pmsl when i say staff cross husky you can see there faces screw up when seconds ago they had been admiring them... although to be fair it does get them talking and most will come across to how well behaved they are. chipping away at the predudace bit by bit

Re: Final sprint
My babies have staffy hearts, soul and love i will defend them to the hilt forever. Im so so proud of them and despite them looking a lil odd they are, in my mind anyway predomenatly staffy bull terrier. when im asked the breed i say staffy cross with pride and then think bet you didnt expect that did you... just you wait until we get competative...can just imagine the faces.shegsy wrote:Nice to hear your informing people of all the good that is found in our lovely babies Nathan

Re: Final sprint
you can buy the belts to go running try googling "canicross waist belt"
there are a lot of sites for this kind of sport.
ive been taking summer and buster running and me on my bike and you would not believe the difference in their behaviour etc it has calmed them right down and they love it.
