Would you let a 6 year old walk such a large, powerful dog? No matter what the temperament!!!

My mate has 2 Japanese akitas, rather big doggies and way too big for a kid. Who ever told the kid to take it a walk should be arrested.

It's just ridiculous, actually really feel for the child! They're so strong aren't they Colin! I must admit I am only little, but I struggled to hold onto the ones that we had in kennels. Just awful.

Horrific. Personally I wouldn't let a 6yr old out on the streets alone, much less in charge of a dog!

A family a few doors from me have 3 huskies and 3 kids the oldest girl is 12ish and the youngest lad 6 the only time the dogs get walked is when the kids take them for a lap of the park a scary scary sight. The dogs are well behaved (used to have a kennel and regulary sat on the roof watching other dogs walk by they could easily have jumped down into the park) and the kids are clued up and aware and stay on the opposite side of the park when there are other dogs around but they are clearly being walked by the dogs.
