Thanks for all your replies. It seems like a very friendly place here.

Larry (the older greyer one) is a very noble old gent. He has had a hard life though, he is an x-worker and has loads of battle scars for his efforts. He came to us through rescue after being abandoned when he could work no more.

Cassie was taken with her siblings by the RSPCA at 8 weeks and stayed there for 6 months.

We don't work them now as they deserve a comfy sofa , not working.

cool , thats not to say a working life has to be a hard life , when i was hunting with lurchers we would never put a dog on a badger , only rabbits hare or if we had permission roe deer . the dogs lived for it and were never in anyway forced or mistreated lived with us untill there dying day as family pets untill the camo jackets went on and lamp over the shoulder then they would switch to hunt mode . i can see this post causing some debate lmao but he ho , hunter gatherer is how we began , and i still fish today and eat them had 5 ferrets aswell at one point .

No I agree with what you say, but you can see from his scars that he has gone for things bigger than hares and rabbits. And as you say being Lurchers that is what they were bred to do.
