Elsie has had her m.o.t update
Vet was really happy with her, her wieght is 15.85 kg, which again the vet was very happy with. However I was asked about getting her spayed, which I am not to happy about at the mo. I told them although there have been signs of a season, with swelling nipples and vulva, there has been no bleeding or discharge, not even any dogs beating down the back door for her. I have been walking her as normal, letting her off lead to play, and although a couple of dogs paid more slightly more interest it was nothing that made me think whoops hang on there. But the vet seems to think that that was it, she has had her first season. I find this highly unlikely, has anyone else experienced this ?? Elsie is now nearly 8 months

Re: Elsie has had her m.o.t update
i think all dogs are different like us human just keep an eye on her x
Re: Elsie has had her m.o.t update
TBH if she had just had her first season (and imo you would know!) the vets would have to wait 3 months before the op anyway!
Most likely if things are swollen she may well be coming into season, keep an eye on her and maybe an idea to keep her on lead. x

i know there are lots of unwanted pups and dogs everywere you look, but my personal opinion is that why should dogs go through the operation of either neutering or speying through no fault of their own,if an owner is responsable enough they will make sure their dog is safe at all times.

Re: Elsie has had her m.o.t update
So after being told that Elsie had had her first season by the vet on her MOT And which I have to say I didn,t agree with, yesterday Elsie starting her season. For the past week, she has been a bit more clinging than usual, and off her food. Today however she has woofed her meals like she has been starved for the past month Bless her my puppy is growing up
