Barney at 3.5 Months

I am very down at the moment. Lots of things going on in my life that are not good. One of the worst is that I have had to distance myself from Barney slightly and hand over feeding and walking duties to my Dad. This to try and get Barney to see my Dad as something more than a Chew Toy/ Tug Toy. Dad seems to have no presence\control\idea. He tries to follow all of my advice about ignoring and turning his back, but NEVER gets it quite right. This distance thing is a last resort and desperate measure and it is killing me!

Sorry you're feeling down Tony Am I understanding you right that the separation is an attempt for your dad to train Barney? If this isn't working, have you tried any other methods? Might make the transition a bit quicker for you if you're working in Barney's tracks!

Thanks for the comments guys. Things improving today. It's more about training my Dad rather than Barney lol but my amateur psychology appeared to work for both of them (greatly relieved).

Hi ya Tony, sorry to hear about your strife. As for Barney, he is a fantastic looking fella   I was about to post and you snuck in before me ! I was going to say that it's probably more about your Dad learning as much as it is Barney.

Thanks again for all the support people. Things are definitely inproving, my Dad (known as Grandad) has come on leaps and bounds.

Duck wings, Chicken feet, and tummy tickles all work wonders, and Barney likes them too!
