So about a month and a half ago my 7 and a half month old pup came into her first season but she bled for about 4 weeks vet said it can happen and not to worry so basically I walked her at times when there weren't many dogs around and always kept her on lead only just started getting her on a decent schedule but today I was walking along she was on lead and this woman's golden retriever came running out of nowhere(off lead) and mounted her I tried to get him off as fast as possible but the woman just wondered down laughing she was elderly so I didn't get on at her but some people just annoy me so much do you think it's possible my girl is still in heat and if so whats the chances that shes pregnant I got it off as fast as I could(he was huge) was like 15-20 seconds.

Hmm it's a really tough one, I really don't know much about breeding, hopefully someone will be along soon that can offer some more information, might be worth giving your vets a quick call?

Yeah I'll call first thing tomorrow, really hope she isn't pregnant don't really have the room for a litter of pup's and she's far to young and I really don't want her to have any at all going to get her spayed after her 3rd heat

Would pop her along to the vet ASAP, they can give her a morning after pill which is very similar to what we would have.

Some people are just stupid

The injection should be given within 48 hours of the mis mating, some vets are reluctant to give it though and may suggest you have her spayed instead immediatly, your decision really.

Ye I know but it's been 3 weeks since she stopped bleeding, just not sure because she bled for so long I'll be taking her into the vets as soon as they open anyway just to give me piece of mind
