pawing water bowl??
when Ryder is drinking about 10 seconds in he dips his paw in the water ... sometimes just the once other times he starts digging with one paw or two paws .... its clean water with nothing in it !!!
is this just normal puppy exploration behaviour or is there an underlying issue?

Re: pawing water bowl??
Quite a few of our dogo argentinos used to do this and as a result had to get a big ceramic pot to use their water bowl because it was forever being emptied. Marquez does this too sometimes

Re: pawing water bowl??
Look into the non drip bowls. They have a bigger lip and smaller hole.

Re: pawing water bowl??
Nothing to worry about. Suki will do this but only if her bowl is empty

Re: pawing water bowl??
Check out the video at 0.46 sec and see if its the same thing. Both dogos would do this - you can see Zoe in the back standing in her water bowl and Kostya making all the mess. He always did it since he was a pup as did first dogo before him.
And another of our dogos - Casper. Think he was just as bad as Kostya

Re: pawing water bowl??
Personally it is something I would discourage, if you have water outside where they can play then great but I wouldn't want Moo digging water over the kitchen Xx
