What to buy
I ordered a 300ltr chest freezer on friday past it either comes end of this week or next week they said 7-10 working days so I'm going to order from either DAF or this place closer to me that stocks DAF stuff(its a little more expensive but would get here quicker next DAF delivery is April sometime)
Theres just so much choice I'm currently on my first week of raw so just on chicken atm currently feeding drumsticks from aldi and natures menu free flow chicken mince I don't think I'm going to get any chicken from DAF chicken legs in aldi are £1.15 for 2 which is like 500g works out to be £9.20 for 4kg and the 4kg chunks from DAF are £9 anyway and don't have any bone in also asked a few butchers about chicken legs in bulk they're going to get back to me on prices.
Anyway I don't know if I should buy mince or chunks in my order I know mince works out cheaper but I remember reading somewhere that chunks of meat are better for the dog because they get the benefit of chewing it and there's apparently more bacteria in mince? Not sure if thats correct or not.
Looking to spend around £50 and get some different meats any suggestions?

Re: What to buy
I feed mostly mince and then meat on the bone for teeth. I would get tripe to start with after the chicken and then maybe Turkey and some fish. Leave the richer ones like Beef until later when he is more used to the raw diet. How long is this order to last you? Roughly you should be adding one new meat each week and start to add offal after about 4-6 weeks

Do you know if beef heart and pork tongue are considered offal or muscle meat?

Re: What to buy
We started with Chicken Mince, Turkey Mince, Tripe Mince, Chicken and Oily Fish Mince, Chicken Portions (drumsticks and wings) and Chicken Chunks which came to about £54 for our first order.
Just as a heads up the Chicken Chunks come in big 10cm ish square blocks so we had to defrost them, cut them into smaller chunks and then refreeze them
Not sure about the bacteria side of things with mince but Bane has been fine on them! We phoned up as well and they said that the minces were roughly 10-20% bone content so balance well as a whole
