Not a bad idea. Tobacco and liquor are taxed because they cause health problems so obesity should be treated the same. Alot of airlines now charge extra if a passenger can't fit in one seat.

These are probably already covered by VAT which is added to items anyway, good idea though

No, it bugs me that the government just takes the lazy way out all the time. Its the reason fuel, booze , ciggies etc is so expensive... we want to "seem" to make people stop using things by taxing the hell out of it yet they know full well they will just keep on buying the stuff. Im all for proportional paying in but to make me pay more for an ice cream because some fat git has marsbaritus is wrong.
