Need a barrier for the car
We are expecting our first staffy in a few weeks and I'd like to set up the back of the vehicles as a safe dog zone.
I noticed that most people seem to be from he UK here, I'm in the US, and therefore we have big cars ;-)
I've searched online but most reviews have lead me to believe that once these barriers are fully extended in an SUV, that they don't have have enough tension and easily fall over.

We have something similar in our car. Looks almost like a police car and we keep it in place with zip ties.

Yes, something like this that is a little more rugged. Ifmyou read the reviews it says that if doesn't tighten down enough and a determined dog can just push it out of the way. I was hoping someone here knew of a bully proof design.

Re: Need a barrier for the car
We use something like the link or the mesh product in the other options shown on Amazon. We secured it in place with additional zip ties and it has held up almost 3 years now. I don't think there is a perfect version out there.

Re: Need a barrier for the car
Yeah that wouldn't last 5 mins with Ledger, I have a slightly better version that attaches to the headrests of the back seats but he has figured that if he flips the bottom of the guard enough he can tip it and get over it he only does it when I'm not in the car but I have sourced a place that will custom make a guard and a boot gate so I can leave him in there with the boot door open when we are at agility comps and I need to walk the courses
