Re: help suspeced tuma
I am extremely surprised the shelter rehomed her in that condition, thats very worrying, I am sorry though i'v not experienced this kind of thing before but i think the quicker you get it sorted at the vets the better, good luck.

Re: help suspeced tuma
she wasn't from a shelter her owners had to rehome due to their other dogs not getting on with her and attacking her which is way i took her on but they have been good enough to help me out with the vet bill and have giving me as much information about it as possible
she's had it for about 4 weeks before i got her i'm not gonna talk down about them as they have done a good job raising her but just didnt have the time to take her to the vets themselves
its not affecting her in any way she's all healthy in every other aspect just a bit worrying only had her a week she's such a loving staff very well behaved it's just sad to see something like this happen to her and her old owners are devastated to learn it was a tuma

Re: help suspeced tuma
I must admit that's one I've never heard of so I can't be much help.
What I can say is that, as long as the whole tumour is removed, she stands a good chance of complete recovery. I suppose the only thing is the vet may not know if he's got it all & that's why he says it could be fatal. But the tissue around it will be sent off for testing to make sure there are no cancer cells left. That may take a little while.
In the meantime, try not to worry (easier said than done) and enjoy the little sweetie!
