"Purring"

Do any if your dogs do a sort of purr? When Biscuit's really comfy she lets out a repetitive low, sound like I can only describe as purring! People have thought that she was growling before but she only does it when she's happy? She will do it for 10-15 minutes before she falls to sleep, but also does the clawing thing like cats do to get comfy?! Is she a mutant or do any of your dogs do this?!?

Molly makes all sorts of noises but all of them are different! She's started a low mumble/squeak just before we set of on walks now. And a friendly sort of growly noise when she gets super excited to see us first thing (very cute!)

Yes Daisy does it!! I love all the noises she makes   

Yes, Rocky does this too when he is very content and happily settled on my lap for his snooze

Lola does the funny noise and cat thing. She also likes to nibble the duvet with just her front teeth as if she is feeding off her Mum (she is a bit odd lol)

Darcy does this too

I have always owned Staffords and every single one made all sorts of strange noises. Strangely, Barney never seemed to do it until he had his first injection. Been wondering about that.

Not sure if I am just so used to the Noises that I didn't notice or if he just hadn't settled in his new home long enough.

If Dogs ever start to speak, I would put money on the first being a Stafford.

Not sure I would call the sounds that Marquez makes "purring" but they sure are varied and has us laughing all the time Rotties and Dogos never made the sounds that we've heard Marquez make

Ledger is definitely a purrrrer particularly if I massage his shoulder while he is on my knee he also does the cat nesting thing with the duvet on the spare bed and his duvet in the car !

Lady will make odd moaning sounds ..
never heard her imitate a cat .. yet
yeah she does the cat thing of clawing at her bedding before settling down .. as if she's trying to dig a hole ..
this is After i've made her bed all neat .. soft and comfy ..

last night she was laid next to me .. her head a few inches from mine
then all of a sudden she starts her dream-barking .. 'n relatively loud
woke me with a start !! .. scary for a second .. before i realised it was her 'under-water' whup whup dream barking

Lula does the noise when she comfy and going to sleep but does not do the paw thing. we were away at weekend and i did notice my sisters two dogs do it

I will say Suzy makes noises I have never heard a dog make ever,She kinda does the cat thing but she will lie down and do it and she will then pull herself along the floor like it. She also does it just before she goes to bed as well
