help please...
Hi,
a couple of days ago i was playing with dexter (5 months old) and he accidentally fell on his bum from the bed (not a really high bed of course)
As soon as he did that he stopped using his back leg. I checked him and he didn't seem to be in any pain so i left it until the morning .
the following day (yesterday) when i came back from work he was still not using is leg so, as i was starting to get worried , i took him to a local vet. she checked his leg, moved it around and dexter didn't flinch what so ever. She gave him an injection of painkiller and told me to wait for a couple of days .
But today still no evolution ... he is still walking on 3 legs and it pains me to see my little boy like this .
does anyone ever been in this situation ?
Do you think it could be something really serious or is he just still feeling the shock of his fall ?

Re: help please...
It could be there is some bruising to come out which may well be painful ??? You may have to return to the vets to see what they say.

Re: help please...
Thing is with Staffs they have such a high pain threshold I don't think they ever give off signs when manipulated, is he on Metacam at the mo (or similar)? Xx

Re: help please...
he is starting to use his leg again but he doesn't seem to do it all the time .
i'm gonna give it the week end and if nothing gets better by monday he will go straight back to the vet.
But as i said he doesn't show any signs of pain .

Hopefully he's on the mend then, when Daisy ripped a nail out of her back foot she would out it down on the grass for ages after!
