Re: Sunday dinner
Good luck Sazzle, just allow yourself plenty of time and you will be fine.
What I do at Christmas dinner is get a sheet of paper then right at the bottom write down what time you want to sit down and eat, then work backwards from there slotting in all the timings of everything needed, first thing it to take the meat out of the fridge about half an hour before it goes in the oven.

Re: Sunday dinner
I basted it in butter like piglet said, salt and pepper and stuffed some thyme, rosemary and bay leaves inside, apparently it was good, my brother carved it and got quite excited!!
Carys and my dad complemented my roasties and keith had three portions of crumble!!

The most I've ever cooked a roast for before is 4! I often cook for 5/6 at dinner club but I do something easier, like you say its all the timings with so many different things on the go!
