good kettles
we bigger tea drinkers in this house, our kettles don't last 2 mins where can we bought a kettle that is going to last more then 3 months?
Re: good kettles
I don't know it seems it doesn't really matter if you buy an expensive one or a cheap one they all last about the same time!

No Hun they don't unfortunately we live in a throw away society, so things aren't built to last xx

Re: good kettles
We have a Morphy Richards kettle which we have had for a few years now. It's vertually identital to this one:

Re: good kettles
It seems to me that the old style kettle which has the element visible at the bottom seem to wear out sooner than the more modern ones where the element is hidden. Maybe the poor water quality effects it somehow ?? I don't know for certain.

Re: good kettles
Morphy Richards here to the ones with the matching toaster in cream, but must say not impressed. Then no kettle lasts here as the water is so hard

Re: good kettles
I got a Tesco one about 6 months ago that looks like the one above by pure coincidence my parents had the same one and theyve had theirs a lot longer than I've had mine definitely good value
Tbh my old one still worked fine but I realised I'd nicked it off my brother when I bought this house (he moved in with my parents and it fit my kitchen) and I've been in this house 7yrs lol

We mostly use bottled water, that could be why this one has lasted so long
