What kind of cone do you use?
So Zeus has gone through two of his plastic type cones in the past 2 weeks, they just split whenever he hits it against something.
What kind of cone do you use for your dog?
I need to get a different type, just don't know which kind!

May I asked why he has been wearing it for the last two weeks ?
I would also try the softer options out there:

Re: What kind of cone do you use?
Hi all, thanks for your replies, he's had his cone on throughout the night because he stepped on some glass on a walk and kept going at the cut and made it worse. I'm also in the middle of changing from kibble to raw (due to his food allergies) and hes scratching more than usual.
The Buster inflatable cone looks very good, theres also a few decent reviews on it from fellow staffy owners, so I'll be going for that. Thanks again!

Re: What kind of cone do you use?
Bane has a plastic one with soft fleece edges? Got it from Kennel Gate and it looks pretty rough around the edges as he does manage to escape and then try to rip it to pieces But he runs into all sorts of things and it hasn't split. The inflatable ones look good though! Think I might go for that when he grows out of this one!
Hope Zeus gets better soon Bane is going through the same thing, we should make a cone of shame club!

Re: What kind of cone do you use?
So I ended up purchasing the large Buster inflatable collar, it came yesterday and works a treat. Much better than the typical cone collar and it means Zeus can still eat, drink & play how he wants.
However... Zeus doesn't seem too happy with it. Here he is feeling pretty sorry for himself..

Re: What kind of cone do you use?
So just a bit of feedback just incase anyone wants to buy one of these inflatable collars.. I'm actually about to return this to Amazon because it doesn't do what it should.
Zeus can't scratch his ears (which is what I wanted this for because he has sore ears) but can still get to his front paws and back legs, which to me isn't worth spending £15 on.
So onto the next one..!

I've just ordered the 'Comfy cone' (large), so we'll see how this one goes!

Hi there, thanks for the input. We've tried putting a boot on Zeus before but he goes mental with it, tries anything and everything in the book to get it off!
Some feedback on the comfy cone, even though it's fairly dear (£27 from Amazon), it's brilliant. Doesn't restrict any movement etc, he can still sleep comfortably, it also folds back for when its feeding time or he needs a drink etc, and it doesnt damage my walls/wallpaper as the old traditional one does! The only thing I don't like about it is that its black and you can't see him/he can't see us, unless he's looking at us face on, but overall, it does what I wanted it to do and doesn't cause too much stress for Zeus!

Thanks for the feedback on the cone, always great to know what things work and what doesn't
