Me and Riley say Hello
Hi All,
I got Riley almost 2 weeks ago now shes approximately 10 weeks old, she is settling in well, eating and playing and mostly toilet trained with the few accidents. but i do have one question, i have her in a collar and we take her out on a lead. she does tend to pull on the lead and she has a cute yet stubborn sit when she doesn't want to go where i want to go.
I Have Trained previous Dogs, not Staffies, with the fabric slip chains, but my Partner is very against this. iv been looking up harnesses and halters and am interested in one that works of the pressure points under her arms. but id really like some more information, success stories anything.

Re: Me and Riley say Hello
hia from me and sasha ,we had a collar on sash for years then when i joined the forum read about harness's and so glad we did as she hardly pulls at all now ,when she pulls have you stopped, got her to sit for a couple of seconds and then carry on again, this some times works, thou it does take a while to finish your walk

Re: Me and Riley say Hello
Welcome , i dont have a problem with pulling simply because i like it (personal preference)
You can buy ones as you suggested and ones called 'no pull harness'

Thanks Guys,
Harness looks best from my partners point of view. We have been playing the stop and go game this afternoon, i feel like it might work really well on walks as well.

Hi and welcome to the forum from Rocky and me
We have had some success with the halti style head collar and a regular collar, as for harness we use the EzyDog one and collar.

Re: Me and Riley say Hello
We use a no pull harness that directs her energy against her if she pulls. At her age though any harness would be okay instead of a collar that tends to choke if she pulls
