Anyone else's kids go crazy before they....

Have to do a poo? Marquez is only new to our home and 13 months old. He had grown up outdoors his whole life so we weren't too sure about his toilet habits. With the exception of the first night, sleeping in has crate has been accident free. He's had a couple of peeing accidents in the beginning but learning to go to the door for when he wants to go to the bathroom what we've noticed from the first night home, he'll suddenly start running around like crazy - throw in a bark or two - before going to do a poo. After that first time, whenever he started doing that, I would immediately take him outside and without fail, he will go to the toilet.
Of all the years with dogs and dogs we've owned, we've never seen this behaviour. The hubby thinks its great as we now know that he needs to go out to the serious business Laughing

Anyone else's dogs do this?

Ledger is quite obvious when he needs to go, he will have a bit of the zoomies or just look between me and the door and if I say toilet he will go a bit crazy

LOL at the zoomies!! That's exactly what he does - zooms across the room like a loon! I knew Marquez couldn't have been the only one Big Grin

Yeah I knwo what you mean daisy does go a bit crazy sometimes! She is very picky about finding the right spot so she'll pace and circle for a while first, everytime!

Kuchar runs downstairs (we live in a 3-storey house) as if the devil were behind him, but doesn't bark.

My Dobermanns weren't so hectic about going downstairs, but did woof if the back door was shut.

Rod begins by doing huge laps of the garden which gradually decrease in size whilst increasing in speed, culminating in him spinning on the spot (always in an anti-clockwise direction) with a crazed expression on his face....any unexpected noise throughout this process results in a sudden halt and start again from the beginning! Laughing

Flo sometimes does the zoomies when she is having trouble going and then she is in and out of the door like a whippet !!

She is very very good at telling us when she needs to go too. She will look at you, look at the door and try to push it open.

Staffies are so so smart applause
