An eye for an eye... ...
Anyone else see this story, caught it on BBC world about a feller in Iran who has been convicted of throwing acid over a woman an horribly scarring her. He has admitted it and her scars are truly horrific....the incident happened 7 years ago and she still looks completely awful as well as being nearly blind.
The court has passed a sentence that will see the victim drop acid in the eyes of her assailant,(and therefore blind him) something which she is happy to do.
Due to international pressure carrying out the sentence has been put of, much to the displeasure of the victim and her family.
Just wondered what others thought?

What if the conviction is wrong you can't give him his eyes back but if its 100% then so be it
Note to self if committing a crime in Iran lavish the victim in money and smoother them in melted chocolate and i'll accept my sentence like a man

I'm not racist i'll treat them all the same i might also end my crime spree with a back and shoulder massage bet the judge won't be able keep a straight face while he's handing the sentence

Re: An eye for an eye... ...
It seems a bit contradiction that the wronged one will now do the same crime so does that mean she can be guilty also, sorry its barbarric
I think we should all use the same punishment methods.

Re: An eye for an eye... ...
I'm the same with capital punishment as well. I don't see that it's right for anyone to take a life, even the State. I can't see that it's 'right' for anyone to physically or mentally harm any other living being. By allowing the victim to do this to her attacker, the law is making her as bad as him.
