Advocate for Demodex, can be used as paint stripper

I'm not surprised that Thistle hates having advocate applied it's bloody lethal. After having treated her, (which always comes with a growl) she shook herself. The next day I noticed what looked like dried fat dribbles, on my painted kitchen drawers, I wiped it way and the paint came off, this is where the excess advocate got sprayed when she tried to shake it off.......toxic!!!  

Yeah the treatments for Demodex are very strong, we had to do the Aludex dips, not nice   Has your vet mentioned ivermectin, its given orally.

 Wow, never used it but it sounds a bit lethal doesn't it   

stooopid vet. I asked her if there was an oral alternative, she said that there wasn't grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I don't think all vets are willing to give it because its approved use is for something else, but its very effective for demodex, maybe mention it if the advocate doesn't work soon x

Yeah, Nicos on it just now But iv heard some horror stories, guy put his dog in the car a few hours after applying it and his dogs fur stuck to the seat, poor doggy had to be cut away from the seat. Strong stuff!

The Advocate worked the first time she had 3 months treatment, it seems that the Demodex reappeared after her first season, although not as bad, no spots or sores under her pits, just slight fur loss on her back, where I spotted it previously, I think I caught it in good time. Just don't like the snapping and growling when I apply it, apart from the obvious toxicity of the stuff   

diesel is on ivermectin.have to give it him with a little tuna to hide the taste, plus antibiotics ,demodex is hard to get rid off , see my next post to what i have learnt lol
