Broxi has conjunctivitis
Well looks like that anyway.
Hes been sneezing these last few days and been waking up shaking, which normal calms down during the rest of the days,i noticed this morning that one eye is very red at the side of it and is very watery and streaming water and also making him rub his own eye.
Looks like with the eye and his shaking he has an infection,im going to ring the vet at 9 to get an appt today if possible

Re: Broxi has conjunctivitis
Just back from vet £70 bill, hes worth every penny but i dont have a job now so its alot of money i really need insurance.
When i was walking him to the vets he was rubbing his eye and trying to walk at the same time such a shame
She put this green stuff in his eye and showed me after she did it and there was a green dot on it she says thats an ulcer on his eye along with an allergy or something.
Got eye drops and painkillers 1 a day for 5 days as she said he would be in pain now with it and also a cone to put on his head, which he huffed when i put it on,i felt so quilty so took it off him again now hes sleeping,id rather watch him round the clock to make sure he doesnt run his eyes than put a cone on him 'im soft i know' but at the same time if hes really at it all the time then guess i will have no choice.

They have probs took the pain away and eased the itching, while he has his eyes closed its also helping to heal it. We do worry I am constantly looking at Vin all the time when something is wrong hence he has had a lot of eye problems

Re: Broxi has conjunctivitis
Has anyone good advice for putting eye drops in.
It was hard from the start but this morning and last night was the hardest,he really does not like it,hes shaking like mad and scared because he doesn't know what's going on and its such a struggle to pin him down and get him to still so we can put them in.
I feel so sorry for him,at the same time tho im seeing a massive improvement already so i really want to get this over and done with

Re: Broxi has conjunctivitis
Are you able to put them in when he is sleepy ? he may keep more still then. Let him see the bottle and talk to him while you try to put them in, he may keep more calm then.

Re: Broxi has conjunctivitis
Theres 2 of us trying,im holding him but hes freakishly strong and i can hold him so he doesnt move,i think to really hold him still would make me have to do full maxium effort which in turn will only hurt him,i have tried giving him meat but as soon as he see's the bottle he moves, hes now in his cage sleeping in a huff.
Im going to try when hes in a deep sleep
