i think they go but the look so if you dog is all leg, lean, longer muscle & look similar to an pitbull you have chance of getting your dog seized

there are many things they measure, but bascially if your dog is as tall as they are long they are known as box shaped, and then they measure the width and length of muzzle etc etc

Chance is about as perfect as you get for type, but just oversized as he's a lot bigger then a APBT should be and we have been stopped by the police before

Hi Jason, if you are having any problems or worries about your dog being accused of being 'type' then you could contact DDA Watch.  They also advise people if their dog is seized.

There was a situation in Liverpool earlier in the year when police spent a Saturday morning in a park measuring bull breeds that owners were walking on lead. Several were seized  Sad

BSL is one of my bugbears....  angry

A week after I got Ledger I had the BSL input at work I fretted for the next couple days til I could get home and measure him etc logical side of me knew he had come through dogs trust if there was any doubt he wouldn't have been there to rescue but I completely get the paranoia and what ifs especially as being a rescue and my first dog I had no clue on his temperament I was hyper aware of what other people would think of Ledger but that soon goes.

honestly i wouldn't bother bringing any attention to yourself, just keep on training and keeping brox out of trouble!

I've spoken to the DDA watch when i received a letter from the council saying Chance had been reported as a dangerous dog and when i was questioned by the police over him. Yes they were very helpful but i wouldn't have spoke to them unless i needed to
