back to wetting
HI all
We finally got bailey dry at night two weeks before xmas which was great but this week he has wet three nights in a row and not sure why have not changed his routine and have cleaned the area up properly not sure if this is just a habit that he has gotten back into, so im thinking that maybe i need to start getting up during the night again to let him out or will this make things worse he is now nearly seven months old.
Any advise ?

Re: back to wetting
Nothing wrong with going back to basics as and when needed.
Have there been any other changes in the home that may have caused it ?

Re: back to wetting
Thistle went through a stage, about the same age, randomly wetting and poohing, I just ignored it, let her out and cleaned it up with dilute white wine vineger to neutralise the smell, she stopped doing it as randomly as she started, they are complicated dogs

Re: back to wetting
That doesn't make sense to me, have you tried catching him 'if' he does wee or pooh outside and treating him when he does? I did that with Thistle, she will now wee and pooh when asked, no treats anymore, this is usually when it is raining, because she will run back in after having done nothing if I don't encourage her.

Re: back to wetting
Nuala it's during the night when we asleep during day and evening I take him outside and tell him to do his business and he will go
They go on gravel but when out for a walk it's in grass and won't go
So not sure what time he going but will start getting up during night again

Re: back to wetting
I would go back to basics too. Pixee went through a period of this and she was not a puppy then, but she then started to wake me up for the toilets, bless her in the night. I reckon its just a stage they go through. What I did do, was catch some of her wee, took it up the vets to check there was no infection. There wasnt.
Edited to add this, you also say, he wont wee or poo on walks, there lies the problem, most dogs when on walks, will do more than the average weeing. So come night time, he hasnt done enough wees during the day. As he does it on gravel and not grass, is there somewhere else you can take them walking so its on hard surfaces too and grass and try and and use the word 'toilet' to see if he goes?

Re: back to wetting
Baileys a good boy following the guide of Millie. I am sure you will soon get Bailey dry again once you have done the back to basics. How has he been over the weekend?
