Re: Cockroach removed from mans ear
I'm so glad I don't live in Australia (sorry, all you Ozzies out there) but creepy-crawlies freak me out.
But, (and look away now if you can't bear another Lynda saga!) :-
About 30 years ago I worked for a vending machine company. We had machines at a major (top-notch, central London) hospital, which sold amongst other things, lovely fresh (wrapped) sandwiches. The machines were serviced daily by an operative, who brought back to the office a cockroach found feasting on a sandwich. He put it in a paper cup with a bit of lettuce from the sandwich to keep it happy. Ah happy cockroach (not for long). Yes they are in UK too and in places where you would least expect to find them. Be afraid, be very afraid.

Re: Cockroach removed from mans ear
Hubby had to go abroad for work recently - he had a 'flying' cockroach in his room (well, accordingly to him!!). It took 3 men and a lot of shoes to 'evict' it
