Re: diesel bit me sons nose
Someone with more puppy knowledge will be along soon. I would say though at 8wks it is puppy play, he is still very young, however you let him know he went too far.
I hope your son is ok

Yes definitely, daisy cut my eyebrow open once while playing. Have a look at this to help with the biting

Re: diesel bit me sons nose
Yep, sounds like puppy play. Has he been with his litter mates up until now? He's probably still learning how hard he can use his teeth! How old is your son?

Like above said, it's just puppy play, always naturally be carefull when puppies are around kids no matter what they do,they like to get excited at times and dont realize what there doing sometimes .
When we brong are puppy home we immediately let him sleep with us on the bed,i use to wake up in the middle of the night with his teeth clamped on my ear lol,he must off just woke up in the middle of the night seen me there sleeping and just starts biting my ear/nose/head for no reason

Re: diesel bit me sons nose
I know it was unfortunate for your son, but puppies like human babies play with their mouths. Gradually he will learn bite inhibition - give a high-pitched yelp and turn away and stop playing when his bites get too hard. If he jumps or lunges at your face, recoil immediately with a high-pitched yelp and stop play immediately. He will learn, but it takes time and patience.

He's just playing, Bane has a thing with noses and ears He's starting to get more gentle now but still has a nibble if he gets the chance!
