Her ears back...

Does anyone have any idea why Honey puts her ears back. I have read a lot about this and some say its fear, stress, or her calming herself. She does this when chewing on her bones, playing and being snuggled. Is this a staffy thing?

Darcy often has her ears back, in different situations like you mentioned not sure if it's just a staffy thing

Vin does it too and often whilst chewing his stag bar, perhaps a staffy trait   

Pixee does it too at times. You tend to know when its fear and just curious in time.

Daisy does it when she wants to be fussed, ears go back, tail wagging, very cute!

Biscuits ears go back when she's concentrating lol! That could be on a bone, cleaning Max or attempting to get attention from me..

Rocky will often put his ears back too, it could mean a number of things, like he has heard something off in the distance.

sounds like a staffy thing then,sash nearly always has her ears back.

Bane's ears go back when he gets excited or gets a fuss from someone! Makes em look so cute!

Little Jed puts his ears back to, i have never seen it with other dogs, i think its cute   

My banes puts his ears back when he's being cautious or been found with my shoe!!

It can mean any number of things depending on what other body language is being displayed. yes they do do it when they are being submissive and they will generally drop the head forward and down and lower the body. both mine will also do it when its windy and when chewing something with determination.

I just came home half an hour ago and i noticed he had been chewing the wooden drawers again,went into the livingroom and he was on the sofa he looked at me all guilty with his ears back before i said anything

I cant bring myself to lock him in his cage,hes never been put in it,but if worse comes to worse then il have no choice,if something really big gets damaged

I put banes in his crate for his own safety. It's always open for him and he takes himself in there too. It's his little safe haven.
