She's still young, maybe try getting up in the night to let her out then gradually making it later and later until she goes through the night?

I give her a tea time feed then take them for a walk abit later when there teas settled,we dont go to bed while 10-10:30 pm so i always let them out for 10-15 mins on the garden before we go up..i cant understand it at all,i always thought dogs dont mess where they sleep, she acts like its her toilet xx

Re: I wee where i like :/
when they have food or water you have to place them out side stright away so they know that where they need to go toilet

Re: I wee where i like :/
Darcy learnt really quick and was great, how do you clean her bedding? And pee off the carpet? If you use biological washing powder it breaks down the enzymes in pee that she can smell, so it may help go back to basics taking her out every 30 mins or so and after play or found, lots of praise when she gets it right hope this helps.

Try getting up in the night then because if she's shut in and needs to go she doesn't have much choice, it should help xx

Re: I wee where i like :/
I would try strategies like Sazzle mentions above rather than be tempted to use any harsh words or actions (not saying that you are, but anyone would feel tested over this), which could be counter-productive. If fright is added to whatever else is going on in her head, then the good result that you expect may get delayed. Does she need more toilet breaks? How many times a day is she taken outside to run and play? How long is the period that she's in her crate during the working day? Could it be reduced? Pups need to go more often than adult dogs.

Re: I wee where i like :/
As she's still very young as others have said, I'd go completely back to basics and take her out after naps, feeding, play etc. Does she go to the toilet in her crate in the day? Or only overnight? Of course don't tell her off unless you actually catch her in the act, and if you do a firm no and put in the correct toileting spot should suffice. You could try implementing a toilet command also

Re: I wee where i like :/
I think her problem stemed from the home i got her from possibly, shes very skinny, quite nervous, cowers when i bend down to put her lead on..my heart just melts for her wondering why shes like this..boss is soo opposite..from the home i got her from they just left them in the crate all the time,as one of the dogs went in the crate to poop, even when she tried to eat the bigger dog wouldnt let her get a look in.when i got her n i fed boss she went for boss big time scared she wouldnt get any,now shes fine she knows theres plenty for her and he wont eat it all.altho they do have seperate bowls..shes such a darling i dont shout at ny dogs only firm commands when needed, shes had a bad start and im just trying to give her a better life.her only fault is pee pee time!

Re: I wee where i like :/
Could be from the previous home, if she's 4.5 months now, how old was she when you took her in? Not sure if you saw my question, does she pee/poo her in crate when she's left when you go to work, or only when she's left overnight? Just trying to figure out if it's because she can't hold it for that long which would require a middle of the night toilet break or just association with the crate. I would scrub any areas that she's been in with pets at home microbial urine cleaner and new bedding if possible then go right back to square one. Breaks every 30 mins where applicable and every time she wakes up/eats/plays. SOO much praise when she goes outside and ignore when she goes inside unless you catch her in the act. She does sound quite insecure, and may need different interactions that Boss. My foster boy requires full on excited praise where as Biscuit just needs a gentle stroke and quite "well done" or it just scares her and ends up being the opposite lol!

Re: I wee where i like :/
Fingers and paws crossed it all works out in the end. We did go through a fate of Pixee wetting her bed at night when we first had her after a few months, bearing in mind she was approx 17months old, I just went back to basics, waking up in the night to take her out to do toilets, ever took an sample of her wee to vet to rule out infections. There was no infection. She then started to wake me up instead when she wanted to be let out. Now she sleeps through and only wakes me up to be tucked back into her bed if shes cold, bless her. And its true puppies do need more toilets visits than the adult dogs. Missy will soon settle down in time. I am guessing its Boss on your avatar, I have to say he has the same kind of look as my Pixee. Handsome boy.
