When did you switch?
hi.. phoebe has just turned 7 months and on the same food as her big brother beau[arden grange] only difference is she's on puppy..she does eat well and we did leave beau to bout 13 months before switching him to adult, is their anybody else that has switched over before the year? or is the year just about the normal time to move over....

Re: When did you switch?
Well i feed raw so pups get the same as adults, but i would give adult kibble straight away anyway as puppy or lifestage food are just a gimmick to me.
So really it's up to you when you feel ready to swap

Re: When did you switch?
I waited a few weeks before Zeus turned 12 months old to switch from puppy to adult but I know a fair few people who have moved after 7/8 months

Re: When did you switch?
I've always fed pups in my home care raw also, but kennel dogs get switched onto adult food from 6 months +

Re: When did you switch?
ok thanks for your replys.. wasn't sure whether phoebe would've been missing out on some extra necessities in puppy food if we switched her to early which was something that was worrying me especially with her being such a good eater

We got Rocky from a rescue centre when he was 9 months old and has since then been on adult food.

Re: When did you switch?
Rolo went over to adult Arden grange at 6 months, he still loves it and every day he gets added extras, Sardines are his favourite

Re: When did you switch?
thanks folks... fair amount of differing views on this.. Claire I see rolo is now is a lovely looking 2 years old and like beau and phoebe like's sardines as well, what made you decide at 6 months to switch[if you don't mind me asking] as I said phoebe does eat well we have just increased the amount she gets as well just curious?
