NEIGHBOURS DOGS!!
Hi Guys,
Maybe someone can help….
Ive got two staffs Zulu the brindle 13 month old male and Zena a 7 month caramel and white bitch. They are great together ..best of friends, lots of playing and she is obviously the "boss"
Problem is the neighbors have two german shepard´s and they are kept separated but each owners fence and gates, a couple of weeks ago mine got out and went straight to the neighbors gate… they got stuck into each other and as the staffs could not get his snout into through the gate got the worst part of it…
Any ideas of how to get these 4 to become friendlier as i realize they will never be friends… not now anyway (Zulu got seriously bitten in the face)
Thanks!!

Re: NEIGHBOURS DOGS!!
They may be better to meet outside both houses if you could get the neighbours to do so. It maybe they are all guarding their territory so a nice gentle meet on neutral ground may help

Re: NEIGHBOURS DOGS!!
Once you've introduced them perhaps some nice on lead walks to get them used to each other, hope Zulu is ok

Re: NEIGHBOURS DOGS!!
I doubt the 4 dogs will ever get along really well because of the closeness of their territories. Make sure the fencing between the properties is very secure and they cannot get to each other.

Re: NEIGHBOURS DOGS!!
Do you think the neighbours would be helpful or are they the kind that don't really care about it?

Re: NEIGHBOURS DOGS!!
Why are the two GS kept separate to start with?
Are you able to put a board up at the gate to keep your staffies safe when out in the garden?

Re: NEIGHBOURS DOGS!!
Oh no, hope he is alright
When Bane first met my parents Staffy (not friendly to most other dogs) out on a walk, they seemed to get along alright. He is much better with Bane now after a couple of meetings and walk along quite happily together! But in the house is still a whole different matter, so if they seem ok on the walks, don't assume it'll be the same at home, as they may all still be territorial

Re: NEIGHBOURS DOGS!!
Our neighbor has a pair of particular aggresive Boerboels and I don't think any of my dogs will ever get along with them. Some dogs never get along with others like you meet people you just can't get along with.
Also I must ask why are the GSD kept apart? It sounds like a recipe for disaster to happen.
I agree with Katy. Just ensure that the fencing is in tact and can keep all four dogs safe and secure.
