ok so..ive encounted the people who give me a wide birth, the people who think its cute when there tiny dog snaps at my dog,but my dog snaps back and my dogs a danger..well my friends today really topped the tops.im on my usual walk, and I hear a woman shouting excuse me..so I turn round and say yes, hope your ready guys..she had the cheek to ask me to put my dog on a lead while hers was toddling up on no lead, because she does not walk hers on a lead and I have two staffies,im a little bit in a mood this morning and there was no way I was having that, told her my dogs are friendly and I wont be putting them on the lead, this is me shouting down the hill at 7am :/ im sure the neighbours was amused!! she had the cheek to say I cant be sure there friendly, told her neither could she, shes irresponable and the dogs are friendly but im not p##s off..turned and walked away..im still laughing at what I said hee!!..am I just a cow or should I have put them on the lead..discuss,because im quite stubborn that if theres is not on a lead then im not putting mine on.when all they like to do is play not pull dogs jugulars for fun on our walks.or am a just been a...mooooo Wink

No thats not on, you can't just tell someone to put their dogs on the lead because of what breed they are!

Let me guess - "my dog got attacked by a Staff and he's scared of them".

I get this quite often, even though my Kuchar is on a lead (a long lead because he has wanderlust, but I reel it in when we encounter dogs we don't know). I'm a soft sack I know, but I bend over backwards - "don't worry, this is the friendliest dog on earth" - "can they just say hello to each other?" - etc. Doesn't always work, but I always try!

Its just so unreal.you know what it is i personally think is peoples problems with staffies.not all the t.v media of whats happend.they think "lock jaw" i really do believe they think if a staffie bites a dog it wont let go and will tear it into a million bits.,well they can bugger off, hopefully i will have a better day tmoz Smile
