Your still getting to know her! Look back at how far you have come in such a short space of time. You need to learn to trust each other and your doing great. Have more confidence in yourself Shay is doing just fine

Re: sooo pleased with my baby
Gorgeous picture btw she's a stunner
Don't question yourself you were just getting to know her and vise versa but yes the other owner is correct and you should stop her from hugging and jumping on other dogs this is not polite and other dogs will see it that way and may try to correct her therefore resulting in a fight, when she goes to do it pull her back tell her to sit and wait until she is calm then let her try again, its all trial and error but adventually you'll both be walking and introducing like pros.
When it comes to introduction, calmness by both owners and dogs is key to a nice introduction and experiences which is what you want to aim for.
Also i see by the photos her lead is quite tight trying giving her a little slake while she is just standing around and also allow curious behaviour like wanting to sniff the other dogs back side and cheek/lips.
If the lead is tight she may tighten up, always go loosy goosy its better for the pair of you.

Re: sooo pleased with my baby
the lead was only tight when i was taking the pictures but when i stopped taking them she was sniffing the other dog but there leads keep getting tangled and i knew if anything was to happen i couldnt pull her away when she was tangled up but the owner of the dog was letting her jump all over shay im so happy with her though all i can hope is it gets better do you think if i got a clicker and took that to the field with me that woud help like when she played nicely to click it and give her a treat were as when see does hug the other dog not to click it and pull her away like you said

If you're doing clicker training, then it would be a great idea to take it with you. Training isn't just a particular slot in the day, although you do need that, it's little things spread throughout the day that all add to a well adjusted & happy dog.

Re: sooo pleased with my baby
i havent yet got a clicker but i have heard they can be good to train a dog like we want to work on sit and wait and stuff like that so i thought if i got one maybe it would help her over the field aswell please correct me if i am wrong as im all new to it x
