the end of the year is in sight, hows 2013 been for you?

just thought it'd be a bit of fun to give a rundown of your year, all the highs, lows, best new music you've heard and films you've seen, things you've learned and things you'd rather forget, and maybe what your looking forward to in the new year.

cant wait for the new year to begin, 2013 was not a good year, my dad was diagnosed with lung cancer, my Kooka dog of 13 and a half years passed away with cancer but i am truly thankful for my little bundle of joy Jed who has put a new spark in my life. So goodbye 2013 and heres to a new year full of joy and happiness for all   

2013 best bits for me:

loosening my grip on the past, slowley but surely letting it affect me less and less
seeing my horrific debt almost halve
upgrading to a newer car, and being able to afford to do so
seeing my position at work strengthen time and time again
catching up with old friends, and making some great new ones

2013 worst bits:

still being at home for 2014, was hoping to be back on my own feet and in my own place by now
not being able to go to any of my usual car shows and gatherings during the year
not getting away for a decent, relaxing holiday


best new music:

only film i saw at the cinemas this year was Fast and Furious 6, wasnt that good to be honest.


things i've learned - listen to what your friends tell you, chances are they are pretty accurate and honest. family is important.

things i'm looking forward to - new year, new start, new me. to move forward we have to adapt and change to the world around us, sticking with "comfortable" will never leave you happy.

My rundown is boring I'm afraid:-

Best new music - none (good music, with a few exceptions, went out with the '60s!)
Films - none
High points - calm sunny peaceful days in summer. Days with no trauma.
Low points - days with trauma. Developing non-reversible arthritis in my knee.

Wishing everyone a wonderful 2014   

Highs: Daisy getting the all clear from severe demodex, getting my promotion which I start on 2nd Jan, hearing I'm going to be an auntie
Lows: When daisy was really poorly, when I was poorly
New music: Hmm there were a few good songs but I like a lot of old stuff!
Films: Django unchained, loved it   

Music: really liking Awolnation at the mo and also The Petebox

Highs: meeting my fella still nowt serious but realised how much I like my independence. Being on the British women's skydive record attempts. Getting the ok to work back on my old patch in the sticks. Getting a new car. Ledgers first agility comps and coming 3rd in Scruffts?

Lows: nan getting ill dementia setting in. Losing too many big characters in the skydive family.

Not too many highs for me this year, it has been quite a crap year honestly. Hope next year is better

Moving to the moors with Martyn!
Seeing Biscuit gain in confidence
Leaving the RSPCA  
Starting up the new business
Meeting little Max
My sister getting pregnant
Generally just being happy

2013 worst bits;
Being in chronic pain for the majority of it, and being diagnosed with a non curable disease!!!
Being flat out broke for the whole year, and getting in debt for the first time ever :/
The stress getting to me and Martyn

Things i'm looking forward to;
The business getting up and running
Getting out of debt!
Hopefully meeting some new people here and making a few friends!
Adopting little Maxy boy
