No she's always been OK downstairs but I've been letting her stay with me more and more so I thought she may as well!

Well done Saz
I truly believe it makes the bond between dog and human stronger.
It’s when you turn over half awake at two in the morning and you realise you are looking straight into the face of a Staffy, then you know you have 1 comfortable dog.

Re: I've given in
Aaw bet shes loving it! Bane is slowly creeping in! He now gets let up in the mornings sometimes for a snug when the OH goes to work! I quite often wake up with a paw in my side when he is trying to stretch out across the bed or a lick in the eye when he finds the pillows! Haha they are major bed hogs!

Re: I've given in
Saz
A bit of wizdom from someone who has always allowed his Staffy to share his bed.
There is nothing wrong with sleepeing with your dog. It has almost no risks and can be a benefit. All those who say you shouldn't are talking out of their rear ends.
But
Paws in your back and being used as a stretching post is normal.
Staffies also have a habit of sleeping nose to tail so you may end up with a bum in your face and sooner or later she may well let one go right in your face. deal with it!
You may find her stretched full length against your back, this seems to be a favorite position.
They learn very quickly and once the discover the pillow do not be suprised to find her using it to lay her head on.
If she wishes to lay with her head covered by the duvet let her, she will move when she gets too warm

Yay Saz, I bet that will be Daisy's best xmas gift yet! There's nothing nicer than having staffy cuddles. Roxy is such a daddy's girl but every night without fail she cuddles her mummy

Re: I've given in
Apart from the first two nights we had him, Rocky has always slept on our bed. It's a good job it's a super King sized bed too as he does love to very sneakily stretch out and take a little bit more bed each time. In the morning he is usually curled up under the duvet, especially if it's a cold night, he is a Mr Snugglebumpkins
