Absolutely hammering it down!! The girls are curled up in their armchair and I'm about to drag them out and get all 3 of us soaked to the skin. Can't work out what I should do for the best as Lola's got a cough. Could getting soaked make her cough worse do you think?

I'm the same.. went for a short one this morning but she just got battered and spent the whole time trying to hide in the hedges! Didn't like it at all Sad Planned a moors walk but it's horrendous up there! Think we're just going to play games/do training at home?!

Could getting soaked make her cough worse do you think?

exposure to the fresh air might help ? ( speculating )
i'd suggest a good rub down with a towel when you return
that should help with blood circulation to her skin and coat

evidently .. one reason why dogs have a good scratch session
is to boost blood circulation to their skin
when Lady has a good scratch .. i help out 'n scratch the places she can't reach :-)

am just about to take her out for a walk ..
ain't too bad here .. just light rain 'n a tad windy .. .. at the moment ..
( Lady likes the rain .. starts running about like a maniac ..
( she's just been out in the garden .. and now is giving me the
( are-we-going-for-a-walk-Now! look

It's boiling where I am but if it were raining hard I wouldn't take Renny out. It's freezing while your out there and when we come back we can have a hot shower and get into dry clothes but a dogs fur to get completely dry is a harder option .

maybe a daily teaspoon of manuka honey for Lola would help her cough ?

We survived although it was hard to stand up! Isn't it strange how Lola (brown) can keep clean in the mud and Chloe (white) gets it blathered over every inch of her???

Thanks for the honey advice - will try that  Smile

Took Alfie out this morning, then a trip to the vets. Think that mentally wore him out, all the sights, sounds and smells pluss the [i]three [i]other staffs in there and one Chihuahua! Lol He went back to bed as soon as we
got in and wouldn't venture into the garden the wether was so bad! No way would he go for another walk....funnily on days like these I agree with him!

It's been absolutely dreadful here today. Kuchar wouldn't set a paw outside and there's no point in dragging him out as he just hunches up into a little ball and refuses to move forward and just heads straight back indoors. The lack of exercise doesn't worry me so much (we can always play chase and tug games indoors) as to what he doing about what every animal needs to do every day.

Mia wouldn't go out for a walk in this weather, not even with her coat on lol. So we went to my sons in the car and my grand kids tired her out  Smile
